Zombies- as if that wasn’t enough to ruin any girl’s dream of a happily ever after. In the conclusion of Love and Decay, Season Three, Reagan and friends have made it to Colombia, but their fight out of hell is not over. Starving, dehydrated and out of ammo, the group is at their lowest. Even though they’ve reached their final destination, there is not much hope that they can survive the night. Exhaustion and grief have debilitated them until they are willing to make desperate, dangerous decisions. Decisions that might very well be the end of them. Is there hope at the end of the world? Can Reagan and her loved ones find the safety and security they’ve been searching for over the last three years? Or will the Zombie Apocalypse finally destroy them? Love and Decay, Episode Twelve is the final episode in Season Three of a novella series in a Dystopian Romance about Zombies, the end of the world and finding someone to share it with.
This was the Season 3 finale plus it was the end of Reagan being the narrator…it’s kinda the end of an era!! This episode starts a few weeks after the end of episode 11. Everyone is starving and agitated. They were at a loss of what to do next, no food, no water equals no good for anyone!
I absolutely love Hendrix and his love for his family, his need to protect them and take care of them, Reagan has always been the same way which is why I think they’re so perfect together.
“I have to do something. I have to fix this.”
My chest tightened. “We have to fix this,” I reassured him. “You’re not alone.”
His head turned until his deep blue eyes found mine. His lips were turned down and the light in his eyes had nearly disappeared. I had never seen him so anguished… so desolate. “I’m all they have, Reagan,” he rasped. “I might not be alone, but it’s up to me to figure this out.”
They finally reached their final destination…the place they’ve been searching for, for 3 seasons! They have been through so much…Feeders, crazy colony leaders, heart-break. Hopefully now they can find what they’ve been looking for even though my heart is still breaking from the loss in the last episode, (which honestly I’m not sure what it helped, or proved, seemed like a useless loss and just upset the readers…)
I will miss seeing Reagan and Hendrix moments, they’ve been some of my favorites…watching them grow as a couple…the good times and the bad times.
His hand cupped my face and he held my gaze.
“Thank you for bringing us here.
Thank you for being undaunted by the journey. Thank you for your relentless spirit and sheer determination. Not one of us would be standing here without you, Reagan. We have you to thank for our survival.”
This season has been an intense one…so many crazy things have happened; some things I NEVER saw happening! It was a fun, crazy, and sad ride! I honestly feel like this family is my family, that’s how great Higginson wrote them. You’ll fall in love with the Parker’s from Season 1, Episode 1!
I’m so excited for Season 4, one thing did happen at the very end of this episode that I’m very not pleased about, I guess I’ll have to see where Higginson is gonna take this series now with the new narrator!!
Looking forward to December!
